Questions
FAQ about LoneSock case studies.
What kinds of systems does LoneSock build?
LoneSock builds custom enterprise software: ERP, AI-driven platforms, communications (CPaaS), payments and billing, governance platforms, vacation-rental marketplaces, OSS/BSS for ISPs, geospatial systems, and consulting-firm operations platforms. Engagements ship on Go, .NET 10, Rust, and Next.js, with full source-code delivery.
Are these real, live engagements or pitch material?
Every case study lists a status (Live in production, Live preview, Active engagement, Pre-launch, Vision phase, or Internal R&D). We label honestly. PMODash is a Phase 0 vision site, not a deployment. KiChole is pre-launch on the engineering side. JeneFaJabbar, ByteHub, and ISPChamp are live in production. Sotto and Star Cineplex are active engagements.
Who owns the resulting code?
The client. Engagements include source-code delivery. For platform products that LoneSock builds for KaritKarma (BitsPath, ISPChamp, NewsForge), those run as KaritKarma offerings. For client builds (BdBnB, Star Cineplex, KiChole, JeneFaJabbar, ByteHub), the client owns the source.
Are clients always named?
Where the client has authorised use of their name, we name them. Where the engagement is politically or commercially sensitive, the case study is published with the client identity withheld. References under NDA are available on request.
How is engagement pricing structured?
Three shapes: time and materials at $20/hour, fixed-price milestones with source-code delivery, and a 20% annual maintenance contract on built platforms. A CTO-as-a-service retainer is also available for fractional technical leadership.
What stack does LoneSock work in?
Go and .NET 10 for backend services, Rust where the real-time path requires it, Next.js 16 on the front-end, PostgreSQL 18 for relational state, Redis and RabbitMQ on hot paths, and Docker for deployment.
Working on something complex?
We build the systems that others say cannot be built. Tell us what you are dealing with.
