What is LoneSock?
LoneSock is a custom software consultancy based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and the services arm of KaritKarma Limited. We build enterprise systems at $20/hour with full source code delivery. Our stack is Go, .NET 10, Rust, and Next.js. We are backed by KaritKarma's 26-year engineering history and its ecosystem of 22 production products.
How much do you charge?
Our headline Time and Materials rate is $20 per hour. We also offer fixed-price milestone engagements, annual retainers at 20% of build cost for maintenance, and CTO-as-a-Service for fractional technical leadership.
Who owns the code we pay you to build?
You do. Source code delivery is standard on every LoneSock engagement. We hand over the full repository, infrastructure definitions, deployment scripts, and documentation. There are no per-seat licenses, no vendor lock-in, and no hidden IP clauses.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. We sign mutual NDAs before any deep technical discussion. We work with banks, government agencies, and regulated industries, so confidentiality is part of our baseline operating model.
What is a typical engagement length?
Discovery is 2 to 4 weeks, architecture is 1 to 2 weeks, and build is typically 8 to 16 weeks for a first working release. Most engagements continue into optional retainer or AMC support from the same team that built the system.
Do you do fixed-price or time-and-materials?
Both. Fixed-price with milestone payments works best for well-defined projects with stable requirements. Time and Materials at $20/hour works best for evolving projects and ongoing development. We recommend a model after discovery rather than forcing one up front.
Where is your team based?
Dhaka, Bangladesh. We operate from KaritKarma's own Tier-3 data center and are APNIC members with our own ASN (AS 64005). Our team delivers across Bangladesh, the UK, UAE, and the US.
Do we have to use KaritKarma products like Wenme or BitsPath?
No. We present our own products (Wenme for auth, Darwan for RBAC, BitsPath for CPaaS, BizRP for ERP) alongside competitors like Auth0, Casbin, Twilio, and SSLCommerz. You pick what fits your project. There is no forced stack.
Can you work as a subcontractor for our agency?
Yes. LoneSock regularly subcontracts for agencies and other consultancies that need senior engineering capacity. We can operate white-label under your brand or as an acknowledged partner.
