Bidyut Khamar.বিদ্যুৎ খামার
One home, one farm, one power plant.
A national solar policy proposal for the Government of Bangladesh: turn 10 million rural households into solar power stations at 6.8 kW each, 68 GW of national capacity, extending Ekti Bari Ekti Khamar into energy independence.
What it proposes, and for whom.
Bidyut Khamar extends the Ekti Bari Ekti Khamar programme from livelihoods into energy. Its proposition is plain: every rural home and farm in Bangladesh becomes a small solar power station, with panels on the home roof and on the livestock shed, feeding the grid through net metering.
At 6.8 kW per household across 10 million rural households, the programme adds 68 GW of distributed capacity. The proposal sets out the energy-import problem it answers, the household economics, the procurement route, the pilot, the energy-security case and the carbon-credit revenue, with its data sources cited in full.
It is written for the Government of Bangladesh, and published here openly so that anyone can read, cite and challenge it.
